The purpose of the Merdeka Object Intervention is to create and design a costume or concept for the Merdeka Celebration's balloonmen (HBP RUS 101 was to be in charge of releasing the balloons at 12am sharp). In our costume, we were supposed to integrate our sarongs, masks and at least one balloon.
To prepare for the Merdeka Celebration, RUS 101 went to the site (Penang Times Square) the day before to further analyze the site. There, we also planned our entrance for the ballon release.

[Encircling the fountain]Then finally came the eve of Hari Merdeka. Everyone was at Penang Times Square for the celebration... except me. I had to stay at home away from all the celebration because I had fallen sick... again. It's really unfortunate cause this would be the first time I would be a part of such a celebration. Anyways, I hope I will be fit and healthy for next year's Merdeka Celebration.
